message of sri krishna to neo-arjunasPosted: September 1, 2010
first of all happy janmashtami to all,
These two statements of sri krishna have inspired me a lot. On the occasion of sri krishna janmashtami I would like to share these shlokahs from srimad bhagavad gita which has the meaning as follows…
Seeing arjuna tired because of depression sri krishna who was silently hearing arjuna’s excuses for a long time, finally decided to speak: “when you have come here to fight a war against adharma, and at this very moments when adharma is at its peak, how can you speak like this? Do not yield to unmanliness hey arjuna, your attitude will never give you fame and all will tease you if you surrender.overcome your attachemants and weakness, wake up and fight..”
The mahabharatha is a itihasa and needs to be seen that way,but there is no use if we chant bhagavath gita as a conversation between the then arjuna and the then sri krishna, but as we read ,we should step into the royal shoes of arjuna and hear what sri krishna mahaprabhu say to us.. arent we in the same situation which the then arjuna was facing? What we are facing is proxy war of high cheating and low morality, even worse than the war arjuna faced, and the main tragedy is that we do not know we are being attacked which according to chanakya is the worst situation a race face.
यदा यदा हि धर्मस्य ग्लानिर्भवति भारत अभ्युथानमधर्मस्य तदात्मानं सृजाम्यहम् !!! lord vishnu incarnated as sri krishna in dwapara yuga, and according to our scriptures this is kali yuga and there is no mention anywhere that lord will incarnate(except as bhagavan kalki which is to happen many many years later) , but it is said that god resides in everyones heart. So whenever we see Adharma we should be able to protest and fight against understanding that it is a divine duty and the God in us is our source of energy.
कर्मण्येवाधिकारस्ते मा फलेषु कदाचन मा कर्मफलहेतुर्भू मा ते संगोस्त्वकर्मणि !! Although sri krishna say that we should not bother about the karmaphala (fruit of action), rather we should concentrate in our dharma, we can clearly see that he manages everything so that the pandavas ,who were in the side of dharma has the ultimate win. That means victory will come to those who are with the dharma , who fight for dharma, and who sacrifices his life for the cause of dharma.
So getting inspired from these messages of sri krishna, the omnipresent and bhakthavatsala, let us fight for our country and our people, unitedly, bravely remembering यतोधर्म: ततो जय:,where ther is dharma there is triumph,
!! सत्यमेवजयते !!
